Welcome to Save a Heart. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting health inequity by making crucial preventative care accessible to communities that need it most. Our unique strategy goes beyond charity; we empower low-income individuals to take control of their heart health by removing both financial barriers and knowledge barriers to care.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death, and conditions like obesity are major risk factors. For millions, the cost of medical weight loss solutions, expert nutrition advice, and even understanding their own insurance plan creates an impossible obstacle to a healthier life. We exist to bridge that gap.
We forge strategic alliances with licensed medical providers, such as California Living Medical Weight Loss, to secure significant cost reductions for our clients.
Through our referral system, clients receive benefits like 50% off medically-supervised weight loss programs.
We believe true empowerment comes from knowledge. We developed the "Take Charge of Your Health: Understanding Healthcare Costs and Access" curriculum to demystify healthcare economics.
Our lessons teach clients how to understand their insurance, negotiate bills, ask for a "Good Faith Estimate," and advocate for their rights. This education is our key differentiator, ensuring clients can navigate the system long after they leave our program.
Medical care must be supported by sustainable habits. We partner with qualified Nutritionists and Personal Trainers to offer their services at a significantly reduced rate.
This ensures our clients can afford the personalized guidance necessary to make long-term food and fitness choices that reinforce their medical treatments and improve heart health.

William Bradway founded Save a Heart while a student at Viewpoint School in Los Angeles, California.
Though young, William possessed a deep conviction, motivated by the disparity he saw between access to preventative care in his own community and in underserved areas of Los Angeles. He recognized that the high cost and complexity of the healthcare system often guaranteed financial struggle and poor health for vulnerable populations.
William's commitment to democratizing access is not limited to finance. As a high school student, he was also a co-author on the Stanford University project, CRISPRkit, which focused on making advanced biotechnology education affordable and scalable for high school students. This hands-on experience in developing cost-effective, biosafety-driven scientific tools directly informed his vision for Save a Heart: that access and simplicity are the keys to empowerment.
Instead of accepting the status quo, William leveraged his passion for healthcare economics and his understanding of the financial structure of medical systems. He designed the Save a Heart model to be a smart, strategic solution—a non-profit that not only provides temporary financial assistance but also equips individuals with the financial literacy to permanently lower their personal cost of healthcare.
Under William's leadership, Save a Heart demonstrates the power of entrepreneurial vision and dedication, proving that change can be driven at any age. His mission is clear: to make the economic case for prevention undeniable and build a healthier, more equitable future.
